While in the Geyer Sydney office John Dunn working as project director designed and implemented the new fitout for Gilshenan & Luton lawyers in Brisbane. As a part of the briefing phase John carried out two brand and culture workshops with the partners and key people within Gilshenan & Luton
These workshops where valuable in defining what is unique to this mid size niche law firm and what sets them aside from others
The key words from the workshops were approachable / knowledgeable / innovative / warm / friendly / not opulent The palette is textural / calm / warm with a degree of contrast
A firm with strength in family law was one of the directives for a residential fused corporate approach for the reception interior
Though the overall planning principles are typical for a law firm there is a significant part of the practice that has opted for a more open and collaborative work environment
This environment complete with cutting edge telephony has been highly successful for their property team
As the firm spends a long time at their desks it was essential that their people had a place to unwind and socialize. A central zone has been set aside for an energetic break out and some times education area complete with TV / projection wall and espresso machine
Fitout is over 1600 square metres of BOQ building Queen Street Brisbane
