While working with Geyer Brisbane John was the project director and principal designer for the new five floor fitout for Clayton Utz Lawyers in Brisbane Working with the new Clayton Utz National Brand statement [by others] the Brisbane design was in inter weave the local spirit and Identity into this national Brand
A series of workshops was held with Partners and senior people to identify the local spirit and culture
The outcomes from those workshops highlighted a strong heritage in the Brisbane Legal community / the depth of experience and their vision for the future
To celebrate the past a heritage wall was created for the reception
This Heritage wall was based on a timeline identifying key accomplishments of the firm with key moments in Australian and Queensland history
The palette is rich / striking but inviting using the key Brand attributes of Bold / Contrast / sculpture / progressive
The planning model is based on offices to the windows and core with support between
The Hub areas for the practice are centrally located within their stack on levels 27 and 29 with reception on level 28
All levels and key / Hub areas are connected via an inter tenancy staircase
In 2012 IDC Design was commissioned to design additional office accommodation
on Level 31 as well as alterations / additional meeting accommodation on L28
Fitout is over 7470 square metres of Levels 26 to 31 Riparian Plaza Eagle Street Brisbane
IDC Design has an ongoing roll maintaining the design for Clayton Utz and has recently completed a new working floor on level 31 as well as modifications and a refresh of level 28
